Is there a database size limit for indexed thumbs?

I updated my XnView Mp to version 0.99.6.

I'm currently using ThumbsPlus 7.1 and its database file size limit is 2GB for the .db file. As a result, I ended up skipping the option to create thumbnails in many folders in order not to crash the software when exceeding the 2GB limit.

Is there a database index file size limit for MP?

Technical set up:
My .db is on one SSD, the images are on another SSD, running an i7 machine (desktop) with 24GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB SSD for software and .db file and 4TB SSD for the files.

Can i limit the size of the *.db? On my old system the file was more then 4GB big?
