Edit IPTC window will only open 2 files at a time
The pop up window "Edit IPTC-IIM" when using Ctrl+I will not open if more than two files are selected. This is a severe limitation when needing to batch many files with IPTC data. I don't know what changed, but it used to work with many files. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program to no avail.

Welcome to the XnView forum, StanM, and thank you for your request. I've just tried to edit ITPC data for several files using XnView MP 0.99.7 and this works without any problems. Which file format (JPEG, ...) have the selected files? Which version of XnView MP do you use? On which platform (Windows, Max, Linux, ...) do you use XnView MP?

The file format for all files is .jpeg. The XnView MP version is .99.7 64 bits. The operating system is Win 10. Thank you!

Thank you for this information. Please note: If you select multiple files and there is just one single file that doesn't support IPTC meta data, XnView will not open the ITPC dialog. There's no message box or anything (perhaps a good idea to play a beep sound or provide some other indication). Is this perhaps the reason for your problem, StanM?

Solved. There were two files with the same file names, but with different dates. I deleted one of the files and the problem disappeared. Thank you for your generous efforts to help me!
