Equal cropping on top and bottom for images with different heights

Post by corr »

I have pictures with different heights. I would like to shorten them to a uniform height. To achieve this, they should not be shortened at the top or bottom, but evenly at the top and bottom. How can I achieve this?

With Crop from position it only cuts from the bottom. With From Edge, I would have to manually determine the crop amount for each image individually, which I don't want to do because it's too much work.

I think Image > Canvas resize... will do that, if you set Position to Centre and Mode to Size - Pixels ... :D :?:

Edit:

Setting Mode to Size - % should also work, if more convenient.
