Strange file

[Ilikemyprivacy]

There is a file called ".XnViewSort" in one of my folders. What is it and do I need it? Also what is the difference between MP and classic? I need to know where to post future questions since both have the same categories.

We use : View > Sort by > Custom
This “custom” order is stored in the hidden .XnViewSort file in each folder.
Thumbnails are moved with the mouse between two other thumbnails (not after the last one).
To disable this custom order, add the line: allowCustomOrder=false to the [Browser] section of the xnview.ini file.

MP and classic are two different versions.
Some users are used to XnView Classic ; this older version has a few features not yet included in Xnviewmp, which is the more modern version, with many qualities, other functions and richer parameter settings. Xnview classic no longer evolves much

So it's okay if I delete this file then correct? It won't ruin anything other than the custom order of the gallery.
