I don't want to make a copy of the original file

I am a new user and am using XNview mp version 1.8.3 (Windows).
If I change the IPTC data and after filling in the IPTC data, I click on write to all files and it makes a copy of the original file, it then makes it filename.orf_origineel, how can I change this. He also does not have to create an xmp file, the change can be made in the original file.
Where can this be changed, otherwise I would get a lot of files.
