XnView MP: 1.8.0 64-bit
OS: Windows 10 64-bit

XnView MP flashes white when launched and maximized and when internal windows, e.g., settings, are opened (see attached video). Related to this.

This, this, or this may be useful in resolving this issue in XnView MP.

Great job on fixing the flash when XnView MP is launched directly to a maximized state with and without a file.

However, there are still some very unpleasant flashes.

1. XnView MP flashes white when launched to a non-maximized state.

2. XnView MP flashes white when maximized using the “Maximize” control button in the top right-hand corner of the Windows title bar.

3. XnView MP flashes white when launched from within Windows Explorer with an image file directly to full screen and then exited to viewer mode.

To reproduce:
3a. Set "Start with file" to "Viewer - Fullscreen."
3b. Open an image with XnView MP from within Windows Explorer using the right-click menu.
3c. Press F11 to exit full screen to viewer mode.
Note: This does not occur when "Start with file" is set to "Browser-Fullscreen."

4. The “Settings” window and “Create multi-page file” window and only these internal windows flash white when initially opened and occasionally subtly flash a light gray thereafter.
