there is no functionality to color 'image numbers', whatever you mean by that
use Labels and Label colors in Settings>Thumbnail

There is no "Settings>Thumbnail" on a Mac. If I change the background to a color, then the text to a color, XnView CRASHES in Tahoe.
Does anyone know if XnView is incompatible with Macintosh now????????
I can't save the interface like I want it anymore.
At quit the interface reverts to default??????
What happened to this great app. Its really f____ked up now.

I’ve noticed XnView-MP sometimes has issues saving the interface on Mac too, especially on the latest versions. It’s really frustrating…

XnView has worked wonderfully for years, if your version is working DO NOT UPDATE.
Update: I restored version 1.9.5 XnView-MP from my Time Machine backup, INCLUDING invisible XNViewMP files (Command+Shift+period) and it works
