I've just fixed the broken link in the very first post. Please note that the ZIP archive is zipped with subfolder "AddOn", already, so it must be unpacked to the program folder of XnView.

I agree. Thanks Pierre.JohnFredC wrote:No paintbrush?I really like the functionality so far!
Before you go too far with the design, for me, having the separate popup window is not the best. I realize there may be limitations imposed by XnView's plugin architecture, but for me, paint should be applied directly into the currently viewed image (ie directly into the tab view, not in a popup)...
All such comments aside, though, this will be an extremely useful addition to XnView!
For all I know the Tab key is used for swapping the orientation of the selection, already.Dreamer wrote:About a hotkey, I think P is good, perhaps P and Tab (it was in prev. versions I think). Toolbar button would be useful too.
Currently, the Paint plugin is an additional feature, not a stand-alone program. So I think the menu item simply should say that drawing / painting on the image is possible. This could be "Paint" or "Draw", or something adequate. Also this menu item should be translated in other languages.Dreamer wrote:BTW Small suggestion, there is already one Paint, perhaps this one could be XnPaint.

• I'll try to place that archive on another server, so stay tuned !
EDIT : Please, try from THERE
• Right, I agree, but the bitmaps for these icons are in a safe set in the “Paint” library, and even impossible to watch……The symbols for "Line" and "Move" look very similar. The "Move" symbol looks as if the user could draw a line. …
… but I saw them already as a part of the (old?) tool-bar for the Compare tool……For the paint tool the standard iconset / skin should be used. Currently, there's special icons which do not belong to any skin. …
• Absolutely !…The standard hotkeys should be supported, e.g. + / - for zooming.
• It's no more French or Italian, or…… … "Paint" is not quite German. Is there a way to translate the menu item?
It's a first version, so i'll add more feature afterJohnFredC wrote:No paintbrush?I really like the functionality so far!

• Well, but could you make the “Paint” window resizable and able to be moved a bit ?Currently it's not possible, i must rewrite all view mode code
But you can move or resize it!!!Clo wrote:• Well, but could you make the “Paint” window resizable and able to be moved a bit ?Currently it's not possible, i must rewrite all view mode code
Umm... WTF are you talking about legallity?? "Paint" is a generic word, just like "draw" or "retouch". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PaintClo wrote:—> helmut

- If you mean a “legal” way to translate this, I fear that the answer be “NO” currently

You have Paint.xnp in Addon folder?Drahken wrote: I tried this plugin, and it doesn't do anything. I tried the link in the first post, then tried the "there" link, both were the same. There is no filter->paint menu entry, and "P" does not work. I'm using 1.90RC3.
