please add my vote to this...
my D80 also has two sizes of jpg thumbs/previews embedded, i can only see the small one
or need the much much slower option of raw-conversion.
if it is possible to check RAW files (focus!) with the full size embedded JPG-previews,
it makes a tremendous improvement in weeding out the bad ones.

Do you have tried the 1.91?
