I just noticed that Microsoft's "Copy To\Move To" context menu in "Windows Explorer" defaults to "My Computer" however when you open "My Computer" it then defaults to "My Documents"

???? I've not changed that, you should have the dialog!!ckit wrote: My first experiences...
Open XnView, select file, right-click, Copy To, file is copied with no user warning of where it's going.
Sorry but i don't understand. If you use Copy/Move to, the dialog box is opened. If you use Ctrl+alt+C/M the default folder is used.Next, I fill in the "Copy To" and "Move To" fields in Options (C:\Downloads), right-click, Copy To, A Dialog box is produced with no folder allocated in the tree and the folder in the dropdown list isn't "C:\Downloads"
Next, I tried the hotkeys Ctrl+Alt+C and M and worked like the first paragraph. Forget the hotkeys they aren't needed.
Ok, good night. There is an error in the build, please try to download it again.ckit wrote:Sigh, what a mess!
Yes to the first question, we have a new bug.
It's 2:30am in the morning and I'm tired, the way things are going I want you to forget this request altogether and return things to the way they were in v1.91.4 otherwise v1.91.5 will be a very buggy short lived release.
I need sleep.
I don't know about test build, but consider the following setting when looking at this:ckit wrote: - Copy To -> Dialog Box's Folder Tree is in My Computer (NOT C:\Downloads)
Holy crap!!marsh wrote:I don't know about test build, but consider the following setting when looking at this:ckit wrote: - Copy To -> Dialog Box's Folder Tree is in My Computer (NOT C:\Downloads)
Interface>Recent Lists>[x]Purge most recently used files and directories on exit.
It will clear last used folder and possibly nullify a new function. Using a fixed location would avoid this problem, though 'last-used' also good.
Now that you mention it, I'm not sure a MRU list is needed either. I was just thinking that the purge function was pointless.ckit wrote:Holy crap!!marsh wrote:I don't know about test build, but consider the following setting when looking at this:ckit wrote: - Copy To -> Dialog Box's Folder Tree is in My Computer (NOT C:\Downloads)

That works really well, no good for anyone who does like MRU's but that's not a problem for me.
I hope XnView 2.0 has an option to disable All MRU's but one can only wish
So is it good like that?ckit wrote:The new build is like v1.91.4 all over again
No, i means the hotkey in betackit wrote:Yes, I'm happy with the solution marsh has provided.
It's probably Trillian's global shortcut, try to disable it.ckit wrote:In XnView 1.91.5 beta...
CTRL+ALT+C opens Trillian Options dialog (don't laugh this is serious!)
