<RESET settings>
Go
Here is we have no more the settings of the script!!!

Yes I see, not easy (a compromise is needed)
But in this case, you can make some modifications during the box is checked and save as a new script !
It is not really a problem for me, because users usually make tests before creating a script.

No problem for me too. I don't use that option at all, but...

What about another script - "default" saved in xnview.ini, or in the same folder as "Folder used fot other files" option - with the same - default settings, so anyone could use these setting anytime - default settings would be saved to this script automatically - it would be working the same as without the script. Not so important for me, but perhaps it would be clearer. What do you think?

Why not if it is possible, but it is not very easy to use and to do, because you have also all others formats parameters to save (for jpg, bmp, png,...) and it is not exactly the problem.
In this case maybe a button "restore default setting" is better, but it is not needed if we have :After a save script => restore generals settings, After a Go => restore generals settings, After Cancel => restore generals settings, and after a script uncheck box => restore generals settings too).

Or maybe a better other solution:
Do not affect a restore generals settings for the "go" button, but in this case affect a restore generals settings in all others cases (if this batch processing dialog box is closed), then also if close dialog after conversion is checked or a mouse click on the cross to close the batch processing windows or "escape" hotkey pressed=> restore generals too.

I don't understand, currently the settings are restored when dialog is closed (Go+close dialog OR cancel)

I mean, if the settings are restored when dialog is closed in all cases (Go+close dialog OR cancel ...) then :

After dialog is closed (all cases) => restore generals settings
and after a script uncheck box => restore generals settings too.
After a save script => restore generals settings

but after Go => do nothing, do not restore generals settings

In this case (from the beta3) you have just to add the 2 others cases :
After a script uncheck box => restore generals settings too.(for interactivity)
After a save script => restore generals settings too.(to do a reset before creating a new script).
But you can also leave the beta3 as it is, because it's fine for me too !
