Hi, Blas.

I have found what it seems a bug in the NL Means denoiser plugin behaviour. Get this back cover and use NL Means on it with the following parameters:

Spatial Sigma: 30
Learn Radius: 16
Compare Radius: 5
Enhanced mode

Then, there appears heavy pink artifacts at the bar code. Is this normal?

Also, If you disable the enhanced box, the NLM seems to do just nothing.

More o less, it is something that happen in older versions, but I think I solved it.

This image shows I didn't and I must work on it again. :(

The issue only happen using the enhanced version.

If you look at the difference image in the plugin window, you'll see the noise it removes, it is up to 39 units in the 0-255 scale.

Anyway, this kind of periodic noise created by printing is difficult to remove with usual denoising algorithms.

The best way to remove it is working in the frequency domain (with FFT).
