Partially fixed:
Dreamer wrote:- default settings (rename xnview.ini file)
- enable "Use delayed HQ..." option, value [0] (under Options>View>FS)
- enable "Fit image to window, large only" option (under Options>View>FS)
- download my
jpg file (or/and try another 100+kb 1600x1200 jpg file)
- palce it in any filder with at least 5 images (no reason, just for switching)
- open it in FS lite (F11 in browser)
= HQ doesn't work
- switch to another image and back
= HQ doesn't work
- press numpad '*' and '/'
= HQ works
Fixed.

Zooming into a photo causes high quality to be lost with the delayed HQ setting. Problem confirmed.

Your displayed picture is bigger than screen?

For me, yes. That is where HQ has no effect. Zoom 400% and compare preview fullscreen to standard fullscreen. The preview mode does not seem to have HQ at all (even when 'delayed hq' option is turned off).

Yes.
Try this again in 1024x768 resolution (check white lite at bottom):
- default settings (rename xnview.ini file)
- enable "Use delayed HQ..." option, value [0] (under Options>View>FS)
- enable "Fit image to window, large only" option (under Options>View>FS)
- download my jpg file (or/and try another 100+kb 1600x1200 jpg file)
- palce it in any filder with at least 5 images (no reason, just for switching)
- open it in FS lite (F11 in browser)
= HQ works
- zoom in (to zoom value 67% on my jpg)
= HQ doesn't work

Not fixed.
Not fixed in 1.80.2.
I'll try to explain again...
- monitor resolution 1024x768
- image size 1600x1200
- fullscreen lite
- fit image to window large only option enabled
- zoom is 64%
- HQ works good
- press + to zoom in
- zoom is 64%
= HW doesn't work
It works good in Viewer, but there is another zoom value when I press + (maybe a problem?)...
Image A (part) - Fullscreen standard, zoom 70%
Image B (part) - Fullscreen lite, zoom 67%
A

B

Right it has not changed, there is no high quality 3 levels deep in browser mode with either HQ or delayed HQ option. Press '+' 3 times to see this. 1600x1200jpg on 800x600screen.

Zoom level 4 in viewer looks like Zoom level 3 in browser. It is difficult to explain. Zoom displays different percentages while using tab, browser fullscreen, and preview window. That is confusing, so I just count number of times + is pressed.

Ok, the bug where zoom < 100 and picture larger than screen is not yet fixed...
