Yes please, keep it always sorted. I also have a list of like 6 settings and it is not intuitive to find the right setting as list mixes up with use so virtually everytime the list looks different.
and please:
Show the name of the last preset. I am often confused which settings are active at the moment. Preset name is just empty.

Photographer. Sorting 100.000-250.000 pics per year
20 years with ACDSee Photo Professional. Love and Hate. I would love to see XnView MP upgraded for better editing or a commercial "XnPhoto Pro"! Keep up the great work!

Chez moi, la liste n'est pas triée alphabétiquement après cette nouvelle version 1.9.3

Re: Batch Convert - sort preset list
Thank you Pierre for the efforts so far.
Sadly the bug still exists, I tested XnConvert 1.106.0 and XnViewMP 1.9.5 on MacOS Sonoma 14.7.5.
I also edited ".xnconvert > xnconvert.ini" / "xnviewmp > xnview.ini", adding the non-existing sortScript=true at the end, issue remained.
And yes, from a UX point of view the list should always be sorted alphabetically for predictability. At the moment it changes order continously, which is very inefficient for power users like me, who rely on "muscle memory", hence know where each presest sits.

Re: Batch Convert - sort preset list
it works, but it should be there by default
imo, since user can/have-to name Presets - they should be AZ auto-sorted
in cases, where user cannot name data and data is history like, eg 'recent searches' - use 'used last' order
