I can't reproduce, could you send me your xnview.ini, and describe the way to reproduce?
Perhaps my xnview.ini is a bit outdated, i copy it over since version 1.3.0 or earlier to every subsequent release, so it might be missing few newer options that were added in recent releases.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in
XnView MP 1.6.2. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
