Dear Pierre, this is the same as I wanted to describe in my earlier post.
I cannot tell until which version of XnViewMP, but I am sure, in the past the "uncategorized" item also respected the "match" selection (e.g. for a specific folder or specific folder and subfolders).

It would be great, if you could re-think / re-work XnView to let the "uncategorized" items also respect the "match" selection (again).

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.6.5. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
