v1.9.x is too unstable, so I can only install v1.8.8 now. It also has XnViewShellExt64.dll but does not require closing the file manager or restarting the system.
1.9.1 is stable, please try it, there is no change in the setup for XnViewShellExt64.dll

I just tried to install v1.9.2, closing the program first and then installing it in the file manager.
The result is the same as the last two times. As shown in the figure, the program requires closing the file manager. If you choose to close it, the Windows system will not work; if you choose not to close it, an error will occur.
In the end, you can only choose to ignore the installation of the file XnViewShellExt64.dll (not recommended). Please follow up.
P.S. The Chinese-English translation defect in v1.9.2 is still not resolved.

For the above questions, should I choose not to install XnView Shell Extension for a more stable installation?
