1 defect 2 bugs

Post by alee001 »

Xnview MP v1.9.0

defect: I use the Traditional Chinese language, but found that some items are still in English.

Bug 1: When selecting two or more images for rotation, the second image will not change immediately and needs to be re-pressed or updated to take effect.

*Bug2: After selecting an image to mark the category, the wrong position will appear when selecting other images.

*The image positions in this version are abnormal and cannot be displayed in order normally, which is a serious problem.

Could you describe how to reproduce?

1)Refer to the following figure:
2)After reinstalling the old version v1.8.8, no problems were found after multiple tests (solved.)
3) The biggest problem is that when you select any picture in the browser and press Enter to enter full screen, it cannot be displayed. You need to double-click the picture in the browser and press Enter to enter full screen display.
3a) After pressing Enter to enter full screen display, pressing PageUp or PageDown will not display pictures sequentially.

There are problems with both versions 1), 3) and 3a). 3) and 3a) are problems with v1.9.0.

2)Because the information involves personal privacy, it is inconvenient to share
3) Version v1.8.8 does not have this problem, but after upgrading to v1.9.0, serious image display problems immediately occurred.

Thank you for your attention

We need the xnview.ini to be able to reproduce, you can remove all paths/filenames from xnview.ini.

I understand your needs. Here is the ini file without path for reference. I hope it will help solve the problem.

I just tried to install v1.9.1, and it asked me to close the application (see picture). I followed the instructions to install it:

1) Do not close the application (D): The result is that XnViewShellExt64.dll installation failed (see picture)

2) Close the application (A): The result is that the installation cannot be carried out (see picture) and the file manager is closed and the system needs to be restarted

I am very disappointed with the two installations, because the v1.8.8 version did not ask me to close the application, and there will be no such serious bug. So now I can only install v1.8.8 without upgrading.

Please improve the updated version!

The update of XnViewShellExt64.dll needs to restart windows, it was always like that.

Do you have always 3) and 3a)?

v1.8.8 never had 3) and 3a). Even if you update the version, I don't need to restart Windows, and I won't be asked to close the application.

As shown in the above picture, even if you reinstall v1.9.1, I can't complete it in both options.

I discovered the problems 3) and 3a) in v1.9.0, and I can't even install v1.9.1.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Do you want me to uninstall XnView MP and use XnView Class instead?

v1.9.x is too unstable, so I can only install v1.8.8 now. It also has XnViewShellExt64.dll but does not require closing the file manager or restarting the system.

Hopefully the next version will be better.
