This thread is about a bug and undesirable program operation in relation to file modification dates. Centralizing those options are one way to help clarify their operation and remove uncertainty.
Expanding options in relation to metadata is the subject of the other thread, and, of course, keeping those central in order to maximize clarity is always a good idea.
