you think, things should be confusing, hidding and not easy to use - and we all should read manuals = waste time.

I think, things should be clear, intuitive and very easy to use - and we don't need manuals = save time.

Don't think just what's good for you, but what's good for most users (no offence).

Right in the principle, but for instance, do you think really that the whole Options of XnView are simple, clear and easy to use ? I don't…

- Moreover, the basic user like "Aunty Agatha" is not often able to use a programme properly,
even when it's perfectly designed…

- I've been bound to change the counter on my download page, mainly dedicated to helps and manuals, and I've at the moment 8,535 downloads since August, 1st 2005. The old counter displayed something like several tens thousands downloads.
- All the downloaders were not idiots, I guess, and all related programmes are not dungs
- As soon as a programme is ¦ becomes very complex, even medium and experienced users need to read the manuals, more or less, soon or later…
- Who is able to memorize around 150 short cuts like in TC, plus legion of others - the most times different - in other programmes ? I'm not…
- Be sure that many times I would prefer go to fishing, instead to sweat and spend a lot of hours to write ¦ update manuals

• Finally, we started a chapter about the extra-INI entries in the Manual, it's visible online HERE.

- Of course, it's still very "poor" by now, but we'll add entries as and when required @ each new version… hoping that Pierre will give us the full info, maybe also for some others already existing that we don't know yet…

Please note that there are two manuals: Clo's manual and the manual provided by the XnView team, which you can download on the XnView Download page in English, French, German, Polish, and Korean. Unfortunately, the Online help provided by the XnView team is a bit outdated, but still gives good hints and a step by step approach to XnView.
