Yes, from me.
Good to hear. :-)
Olivier_G wrote:Some suggestions:
- Change "Add..." in General>Input to "Add file..." to be more accurate (and avoid any "add what? script? Actions?...")
If you changed "Add.." to "Add file..." you would need to change "Remove" and "Remove all", too. Perhaps it could become clearer if "Input" was renamed to something else, e.g., "Files". Input / Output is nice, though.
Olivier_G wrote:- Maybe the export function could be handled in the 'Save dialog', by choosing it later with the filetype ? (I am not sure if it makes sense, though, as I never used that function).
When using the "Save.." button, the list of operations is saved, not the list of files. I don't think that it would become clearer when making the contents that are saved dependant on the filetype.

Hey, hey, a sign from the master! ;-)

- Exclamation mark in tab title
I've started a discussion about introducing tabs in "Batch Rename" dialog, see topic Batch Rename with Tabs. There, I've suggested exclamation marks in the title if an action is active. The same could be applied here for the "Transformations" tab.

I'm not sure, if the solution in 1.82 beta 1 is final for you!? It's sure better than the previous dialog, but i've something in mind and i wanted to hear your opinion (just a proposal). The workflow is always the following:

a) define input
b) define transformations
c) define output

From my point of view, there should be some assistant with previous and next buttons. Perhaps a) is not necessary because user selcted pictures in browser before he started batch convert.

If user doesn't need transformations, she/he skips task b) by pressing next.

The last step c) isn't flexible enough (my opinion). I would like to have the possibility to choose all options especially for this batch convert task in one screen. This means
- don't change some standard-options (like jpeg q-factor) in the application options
- save to absolute or relative directory
- powerfull rename features (right now i often make two steps: convert, rename)

And it should be possible to save the complete task as script (including save/rename information). Background: i have a folder with pictures i want to publish on my webserver in different sizes/q-factors and it's always the same relative folders and size/quality settings (simply a batch task) :D

Sorry for the long posting. What do you think of the assistant aproach? I didn't find it in your discussion and think xnview should lean against standard (windows) gui concepts. Perhaps i make a gui concept/screenshot when i'm back at the windows machine (unfortunately there is no native os x version of xnview :()
