“Import Clipboard” still buggy (button)

Hello !
• Still the double bug for that function :
0. Install a button in the <View> tool-bar for "Import Clipboard"
1. Copy any text in the Clipboard,
2. Start XnView as <View>, with no file (Desktop icon or so)
3. The button is enabled ! If you click it, you get a pretty Bill's message, and you are bound to close.
---------------------
A. Copy any image in the Clipboard from any soft, or capture a window via Alt+PrintScreen,
B. Start XnView, press the "Import Clipboard" button"
- The content of the Clipboard is displayed as usual.
- The button turns "
Disabled"
C. Close the Clipboard window (don't save)
D. Open any image, use Copy for it :
- The button
remains disabled, only the menu entry works.
E. If you close¦restart, then the button is enabled and works for the last copied image.
• Same bugs in 1.90 Alphas (all).

Hello !
• The bug is still NOT fixed in ß-2…
- As well the text in the clipboard that activates the button - then crash and Bill's message - as the lack of the activated button when image-data are copied from the 1.90 ß-2 itself "on the spot"…

Hello !
• The bug is not totally fixed up in ß-3 :
• With
text in the Clipboard, the button is
enabled still.
- However, clicking it no longer causes a crash.
- When copying an image from the ß-3 itself, the button stays disabled till you click anywhere on the BG of the window !
- Then it works…

Hi !
• The text problem has gone after I changed the EXE from the reloaded ZIP…
• But the copy issue is there, I need still to click to get the button turning enabled…
EDIT : And another variant of the
1. Start XnView from the Desktop-icon, no file
2. Open the Options
3. Capture the option page with
Alt+PrintScreen
4. Close the Options : The button of Import Clipboard is
disabled !
- But yet, there is an image stored in the clipboard…

Hello !
• The

for the disabled button has come back partially now in RC3.
• Please, test that follows :
1. Start XnView as a basic
empty View
2. Press
Alt+PrintScreen, you capture that current window.
• The button
stays disabled !
- In previous RCs, this occured too randomly, but simply clicking anywhere on the empty window
made that the button turned “active”.
- With RC3, nope…

That trick no longer works.
- To get the button as active, you must open the browser or any picture, close it, then the button is usable.
