Deleting last image in folder

When "Confirm file delete" is not checked and "Go to next image when deleting current" is checked and the last image in a folder is deleted, XnView keeps displaying the deleted image. I would have expected XnView to display nothing, i.e. a gray background, just as if the viewer had been started without any files. Otherwise you get no feeback that the file has been deleted in this case, which is not good I think.

I can't confirm: XnView automatically shows last image in folder (ie: the previous to deleted one), which is good here.

I think there's a misunderstanding. I'm talking about the case where you have only one image in a folder, view that image with XnView, and delete it (so obviously there is no image "previous to deleted one").

:) Hello !

I confirm, you are right in the conditions you say.

- However, this is not new, since I can get the same issue in the 1.8x versions as well… Ctrl+R displays an error message.

- IMHO, XnView might look at the Recycle Bin before, and whether the deleted file is there,
it might display a special message…

You're right, 1.8x behaves the same.

I guess looking at the Recycle Bin is too complicated. It's easier to find out that there are no more images in the current folder (and then display no image).

Yes, but to have a black screen is not good too

Well, the screen is not "black", there would be just the gray background as when you startup the viewer (not the browser) without any image. At least I would, obviously, prefer that over the current solution :-)
