Double click shortcut files in browser still don't open files. Although it opens with F3. Perhaps add shortcuts as part of 'all other files - open in associated program'?

[i have only images set to open in xnview. everything else opens in associated program. i have a shortcut to a text file which should open in notepad but it doesn't.]

I have not this problem, if i dbl-clic on a shortcut, the picture is opened in fullscreen, or opened in viewer...

Double/Click on shortcut works perfectly.

TsunamiZ, could you please check your Open action for double-click on Image files in "Tools > Options > Keyboard/Mouse". It supposed to be "Open in XnView".

make a shortcut to a text file and try double clicking the shorcut. you'll see it doesn't open the text file at all [and i want it to open in notepad]. but the preview shows the text file. :?

:) Hello !
make a shortcut to a text file and try double clicking the shorcut. you'll see it doesn't open the text file at all [and i want it to open in notepad]. but the preview shows the text file.
• Same behaviour here, I confirm.
- I have "Open" in Keyboard¦Mouse set to the default programme with 2-click for TXT.
- Moreover, the preview displays the text, but it uses probably the EXE-core font, I suppose still the crappy MS Sans Serif, since some upper ANSI characters are not displayed, I get black rectangles instead…
- 29 characters are missing in that bitmap font, quite inappropriate to display text in a preview :(
