In the default skins provided with RC2 there are no separators.

In XnView 1.82.4 we still had separators which had grouped the symbols into logical units. In 1.90 RC2 there aren't any separators in the main toolbar (in the small toolbar there are).

I'd like to see the same separators as in 1.82.4.

• Please, could you make this optional in the INI ?
- The wide separators waste room too much for me, and I don't care to get groups of icons like formerly.
In View, I'ld miss several useful icons…

- Anyway, a separator item could be set at will from the tool-bars configuration later, but only as a narrow vertical bar…

- TIA to consider this.

Couldn't you simply delete the separators in Options > Interface > Toolbar?

Right, you can only delete something if there is something visual to delete. From what I can see there are separators available when customizing the toolbar (e.g. when adding a button).

Edit:
When using "Reset all" seperators are shown. So I assume that removing and adding is possible.

@Pierre: Do you confirm that the default separators will be visible and deletable in the options?

The separators are shown in the options and can be removed manually.
