Printing Problem

When I try to print I get the following error message:
XnView v1.90.2 - [<image>]: xnview.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x77805a10" referenced memory at "0x0015f000". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
then after clicking OK I get the following message:
XnView v1.90.2 - [<image>]: xnview.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x77fcb8f1" referenced memory at "0xfffffff8". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
and the program terminates!

On which OS? You have always this crash on printing?

The operating system is Windows 2000 on an Intel PIII 1000 MHz and 512 MB RAM.
Th previous version of XnView didn't have this problem with such configuations!

Strange, no problem on win 2K
You print in view mode or browser mode? You have this crash on all files?

Sorry for the delay in reply. The problem occurs in both views. And “Yes” it occurs with all the files I’ve tested with (small or large), even the “sample.jpg”! The point is that I didn’t change a thing, the PC, the Windows, or the printer, so I went directly to a bug in the application!

The same with 'best fit', 'thumbnail', 'scale', ....?

So far, I’ve used the printing button directly! That needs testing…

When I press Ctrl+P or choose the print button from the File menu, I get the error message. I don’t even get to see the printing screen!

Yes, 1.95.4 installed on windows xp sp3. Xnview crashes immediately after clicking on File> Print or the print icon.

Have exactly the same problem on XP SP3 running XnView 1.96.1. As soon as print is started (File-->Print or Ctrl+P) in either the browser view or editor view the crash happens:
Code: Select all
XNView - [Elevation 3.jpg]: xnview.exe - Allpication Error
The instruction at "0x77c47366" referenced memory at "0x001d9000". The momory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Then clicking OK gives a similar error:
Code: Select all
xnview.exe - Allpication Error
The instruction at "0x7c911780" referenced memory at "0x00c8d0d4". The momory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Then OK just closes XnView.
