More file handling functions

Hi,
I'd love to see more Windows Explorer file management functions in XnView, such as easy moving, copying of files by dragging with the left and/or right mouse button, but also easy Zipping and Rarring of files, so we can also use XnView as a full-fledged alternative for that lame Windows Explorer.
Thanks and cheers,
Metin

Thank you for your suggestions, Sevensheaven.
Moving/Copying file by dragging is available, already. Simply mark some files (thumbnails) in the XnView browser and drag them somewhere else.
Please note that dragging on the same drive (e.g. C:\ to C:\Temp) files will be moved, on different drives (e.g. C:\Test to D:\My Pictures), files will be copied. To change that behaviour, press Shift for moving and Ctrl for copying.

An Explorer-ism I'd like to see replicated is, when dragging files to another folder and hovering over a closed folder, the folder will pop open. That's very handy sometimes.

Yes, opening a folder while dragging files is handsome and often needed. Actually this does work when dragging on the *folder* symbol or name, but not when dragging on the *"+"* symbol. So the functionality is there but not fully supported from the interface side.
Perhaps Pierre can add the "+" symbol for opening while dragging.

Thanks for your info Helmut!
Another thing I'd love to see is Windows context in the right-click menus, so we can do things like Rarring a file.
Cheers,
Metin

Hah! What do you know, I'm so used to using the + in explorer that I didn't even try that (although I have hazy memories of doing it the right way before; I'm just absent minded).
Probably my biggest annoyance when moving files around, is when dragging, the right-click button doesn't cancel the drag like most systems. Having to bring the mouse back to the icon or suffer a copy is only a little more effort, but, you know...

This was my suggest about this problem:

... without using keys but simply the Right-Button menĂ¹, like the windows File Manager.
