Occured with any image type I tried: JPG, BMP, PNG, etc.

However, I can't replicate the bug anymore (with 1.91.1 or 1.91.2) so I have to assume my recent CPU upgrade somehow fixed that. I was using Athlon XP CPU back then (Athlon 64 X2 now) so maybe the deinterlace used some CPU instructions the old one didn't support?

I can't remember which particular images I tried it with before, so I can't really test this for certain.

At the time when I first posted, the forum didn't allow me to register (I think the reason was my ISP's transparent proxy and the forum software thinking - based on the proxy's IP - that I was someone else who apparently was causing trouble).
