I've been using 1.90 almost since the day it has been available. I wanted to try 1.91, the same way I always do : saved my xnview.ini to a data partition as xnview070817.ini , uninstalled 1.90, installed 1.91 in a brand new c:\programfiles\xnview folder, and reinstalled 1.90 inc:\programfiles\xnview_190. For both, I proceeded so :
- in tools/options, selected : use xnview.ini in xnview folder
- exited xnview
- pasted the saved xnview070817.ini as xnview.ini, and tested.

The .ini is here ( I use win98SE-lite ) :
http://cjoint.com/data/irpsMBIflL.htm

In 1.90, if i go full creen, then the arrows display next or previous image.
In 1.91, if i go full creen, then the arrows crash xnview ( "opération non conforme", on french system ;-)

I have exactly the same problem. It crashes when scroll to the next image in fullscreen, however going upwards to the previous picture doesn't result in a crash.
I use 1.91.3 sv
