Slideshows and Ken Burns effect

I am not fond of the multitude of effects found to create slideshows.
I keep using a simple "fade" to go from one image to another.
There is however a very nice effect that I like very much for picture : the Ken Burns effect.
It is a very subtle effect consisting of a light zoom in or zoom out plus a slow movement on the picture.
This prevents from showing the whole picture all the time, but makes the slideshow more interesting to view.
This effect is available in iPhoto on Macs.
