no selection frame in transparent areas of .tiff files s

Hello,
Another small bug:
In a .tiff file with transparent areas, the selection frame is only shown in areas which are not transparent. So it is hard to find the boxes to resize the frame, or even impossible...
Happens in 1.91.6, 1.92, 1.93b2...
I can send a screenshot, if needed!
regards,
Stefan

A screenshot would be helpful. You can upload it using
ImageShack for example.

Same issue…

Hello !
• Prior, please avoid German, that forum is in English only (and I can't read much more than that you wrote

)
• According to your image, it seems that you are using a dark grey background as RGB
128¦128¦128.
Are you ?
• If so, you land in the same issue discussed in
your thread
HERE (above, below and further…).
• I made a 32 BPP TIF with some transparent parts, I see the selection alright
because I've a pastel-blue background as RGB
198¦180¦255.
- Using the
chequered pattern to represent the transparency, you might be able to see the selection OK, like I can do here.
- That's is valid for all formats supporting the transparency,
IMO it's not format-related, it's only a known lacuna in the current selection style…

As Clo has pointed out, already, the problem is the grey background. On grey image parts selection becomes invisible and cannot be seen. Please find a discussion and suggestions in topic
Possibility to change color of selection resize fields.
(Thank you for translating your post to English.)

Hello,
ok, but is the grey background not the standard setting of XNView? I think so, because I haven't had an other background, yet. Or is this my mistake?

Stefan
Keep INI

Hello !
• Since I keep my INI along the versions for ages, I can't say what's the default BG “with an image”…
- That awful grey is there (from Windows) at start up with an empty “View” window only, and also
(as unexpected) in some box where it makes that all is unreadable (the Bill's places : My…blah bla, etc).
• You may change the BG “with an image”, then keep you INI…
- I guess that many users would dislike my pastel-blue, so I don't propose it as new default !
