I need help binding a key to launch this program.
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\sndvol32.exe /R"
I know the command is 1014. I just cant figure out how to get it to work. In the past I've set up 5 other binds for xnview and windows.

What exactly do you need? To show the "Recording Control" window? If so, then it's working here, on Windows XP, what is your OS?
As I said, use this as command:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sndvol32.exe
and this as parameters:
/R
...just paste the blue text to those fields.

Can I set up a toggle (or single bind) to select between 'microphone' and 'what you hear' in the recording panel?
I notice the command is 1000 for mic and 3000 for 'what you hear'.
So what goes in the fields? And can I have it done in the background silently?
Command:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sndvol32.exe
Params:
/r 3000
Thats what ive tried so far that isnt working. How can i make it select 'what you hear'?

I found some sites explaining the switches a little bit. /d is the one that specifices the device ID (like wave, what u hear, line-in). But I cant get it to work.
e.g., SndVol32.exe [-R | -D "wave"]
