APNG continuously loop even when they're not supposed to!

Simply put, if an APNG is programed to only loop once, twice, etc. XnView will ignore that and constantly loop the image.

For an example, just use my avatar!

(image was created using the firefox extension APNG Editor)

The animation has only 2 frames with the 1st one being displayed for 1 millisecond and stopping the animation on the 2nd frame. Using Firefox 3 or Opera 9.5 (as the image suggests if you're not using one of those) shows the image properly.

Same for all animated files

:) Hello !

• The loop¦s count is not supported for any animation, neither APNG nor GIF, nor any other…

- I've reported that annoying lacuna already, you could find it with the Search…

I did a search for APNG in the bugs category before making this post, and found no topic relating to this issue. Maybe you only mentioned GIF by name and therefore it didn't come up? (I never thought it'd be a problem with GIF as well since it's not a new format)

General lack

:) Again…

• Yes, indeed I reported this lacuna about GIF, but we noticed it too when testing the APNG
(that wasn't a piece of cake, and it isn't that quite perfect yet…).

- It's a general lack in XnView, unfortunately… :|
