Hello,
It is mentioned that Neat Image (excellent noise reduction software) supports the integration in XnView as a plugin, even the demo version. However, after download of the demo version 5.9 and installation of the NeatImage.8bf plugin in the "Plugin" directory of XnView, I found no trace of the existence of this plugin. Nothing in filters, nowhere.
Does someone have a clue? How do you use NeatImage in Xnview?

Hello !
• Maybe could you place it in
…<XnView_Folder>\8bf\Harrys Filter\ ?
• Just a though…

KR, cordialement,
Claude

Go to
Tools »
Options... »
System integration »
Adobe Plugins »
Plugin 8bf »
Add..., navigate to the Neat Image installation folder (typically:
C:\Program Files\Neat Image\) and click
OK.
You may have to restart XnView for these settings to take effect.

Thank you so much!
I would never have had the idea of installing and opening it as an adobe photoshop plugin, as it isn't, but it works just fine now!

Hi darrask
Well, it's actually both of the above: It comes as a
standalone application (
NeatImage.exe)
and an
Adobe Photoshop compatible plug-in (
NeatImage.8bf). Both files should be in your Neat Image installation folder.

OK, I get the idea, thank you.
However, after using it a little, I find the way to use it a little unpractical: it is superfluous to ask the user to confirm his choice in the reappearing plugin manager window after having applied the filter to the whole image.

- TawbaWare: NeatBatch (Freeware)
A “batch-processing” assistant for ABSoft's very popular image noise reduction software.
- IsoChroma: Neat Batch
Neat Batch creates a DOS batch file which, when executed, automatically sends an entire numeric range of files to Neat Image in the sequence you specify. The files are converted, and output to the name and folder you want, in the format you want!

And I was wondering why these utilities are no longer maintained...
