can't read icon-files after reinstallation

I had a system-crash with Windows 98SE and
had to install it all over (Delete all in c:\windows\)

Than I installed Delphi 7 again (after deleting all
files in \Delphi 7\ directory.

I then had in mind trying the delphi-project that comes
with GSF SDK for Delphi.

Before the crash, Icon could be read. Now however not

XnView can (after installing it too) read ico-files.

What is wrong?

Copying the dll-files into c:\windows or c:\windows\system
gave no solution to this problem.

The error-message: File not readable. Unknown format.

How to solve it?

Thanks

Jansen

Are you sure that your icons are good?

Hi Pierre (and the rest of xnView-(sdk)-fans):

I just had to restart the computer after installation with the SDK-Package...my mistake!

Thanks for helping me!!

Kind Regards
