Aspect Ratio Lock on Crop

New member here, sorry if my first post is a request, but I'm a new XNView user too and have been playing with most of the features for the past 2 days. :)

Anyway, I edit a lot of rendered images for animation and usually crop to the screen size for regular NTSC, PAL and HD.

Would it be possible to add an aspect-ratio lock when cropping? The usual cropping aspect ratio for me is 4:3 and 16:9. There are however other aspect ratio crops that can be added like generic photo sizes for portraits and landscapes.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Whickster,

what you want is already implemented:
use option edit/set selection ratio/
here you can choose between lots of standard ratio's
or even your own custum ratio.
However I don't know how to set this ratio as the
default value ??

:) Hello !

• I guess that making the custom selection the default is not supported, AFAIK… :|

• A bit aside, you could see THAT PAGE

• A long while ago, I proposed something in the same painting in that TOMMY's THREAD with a (supported) mock-up…

 Kind regards,
Claude
