install 1.95.3 over 1.95.2 problem

have some problems figuring out the communicaton protocall
some one from QLD, Australia suggested that I uncheck "XnView Shell Extension" but i can't find such a title in the options list.
I use the run feature for download and insatlling: during instulation there is an error trying to replace existing file : error code 5.
my operating system is windows xp home service pack 3

• I sent you a PM but it seems you missed it…
• You can't replace the ShellExt DLL without renaming the old one prior…
- I explained that already recently to a user, maybe with the Search… ?
- The option you are talking of is not directly in the list but on the
System Integration page…

Hello !
• In my text you quote, the extensions have vanished, so it's incomprehensible.
- It might be :
1. Ensure you that XnView is not running,
2. Rename <XnViewShellExt.dll> as <XnViewShellExt.dll.old> for instance.
3. Copy the new <XnViewShellExt.dll> into its sub-folder …\ShellEx\*.* from the ZIP archive.
- Because some mysterious oddness of Win, you can't delete the "old" file on the spot.
- The old library'll be used till you reboot the PC, then the new one will be,
and you can delete the old one without any problem…

Sorry, Clo! phpBB ate the file extensions, because stupid me forgot to tick the checkbox to “Disable HTML in this post”.
