install 1.95.3 over 1.95.2 problem

have some problems figuring out the communicaton protocall

some one from QLD, Australia suggested that I uncheck "XnView Shell Extension" but i can't find such a title in the options list.

I use the run feature for download and insatlling: during instulation there is an error trying to replace existing file : error code 5.

my operating system is windows xp home service pack 3

• I sent you a PM but it seems you missed it…

• You can't replace the ShellExt DLL without renaming the old one prior…
- I explained that already recently to a user, maybe with the Search… ?

- The option you are talking of is not directly in the list but on the System Integration page…

1. Ensure you that XnView is not running,
2. Rename <XnViewShellExt> as <XnViewShellExt> for instance.
3. Copy the new <XnViewShellExt> into its sub-folder …\ShellEx\*.* from the ZIP archive.
- Because some mysterious oddness of Win, you can't delete the "old" file on the spot.
- The old library'll be used till you reboot the PC, then the new one will be,
and you can delete the old one without any problem…
