You have 'don't show again' checkbox

If you nake an image of your operating system partition before you encounter the message then you have to deal with this *every time* after reimgaing your operating system so that's why it's important to find out what's changed where, to set it manually either in registry or in the program.

What exactly changes when you check 'don't show again' checkbox? Is the change made in registry or the program folder? Is the only way to make this change if you happen to have a file which prompts this?

It uses the following setting:

[Start]
ShowAgain=

Numbers (+/- 1 for multipage?) can be added/subracted according to this topic.

Thank you.

Can you please tell me where (registry or file - which one? location?) the following information is stored.

[Start]
ShowAgain=

The latest "about" dialog shows which settings are in use (beneath the contact information), ex: D:\xnview\xnview.ini
... along with Options... System integration>Integration>Save options [x] as INI in folder [XnView]

Very well. I located the xnview.ini. I then saved it elsewhere.

Then when I got the message that 'This image contains multiple pages' I checked the box to never see it again. I then compared the xnview.ini with the old saved one in a compare line by line program and the new one had
ShowAgain=268435423

the old one had
ShowAgain=268435422

It was reduced by one. Is that it? You reduce that wired large number by one?

Reducing by one hides it for me. Removing setting altogether caused the following number to be created:
=268435455 ...show all(?)
=268435454 ...show all(?), after hiding multipage
=0 ...show none(?)
=1 ...show only(?) multipage
