SKP files unknown when they come from Macintosh

I posted this question in another XnView newsgroup, but was suggested to put it in this one, so I do.

In the usersgroup of SketchUp I was made aware about the possibilities to use XnView for viewing SketchUp files. So I immediately started to look at XnView for Macintosh.

The problem I have is that files that I have taken from internet and are created using a PC are visible as "Autodesk SketchUp component (interlaced)".
When I load that file in SketchUp (latest version for Mac) and "save as" it is of an unknown type just as all the skp files created by myself on Mac.

My question is: how to solve the problem?
Regards,
Wouter

Your files are visible by XnView?

Yes they are visible as file, but clicking gives: don't know how to read.
I don't know how to attach an image (partial screenshot) to a message in the newsgroup to show it.
If you want I can send you both skp files.

I have sent the files to your address <!-- removed //-->

skpfiles.jpg is a partial screemdump,
powerbook.skp is the PC file of SketchUp
powerbook2.skp is the Mac file of SketchUp

I have also tried to save without the resourcefork and without the custom icon (option in Sketchup when saving the file); see customicon.jpg, but that did not make any difference.

Regards and thanks,
Wouter

I have done it with the text:
"I have now used smaller files. The file skpfile2.jpg is a partial screendump to show that file linus-1.skp is recognized as Autodesk SketchUp component (Interlaced) and linus-1mac.skp is of the type Unknown.
linus-1mac.skp has been created by loading linus-1.skp in SketchUp and immediately after that save-as linus-1mac.skp."

I hope that you have received the files now.
Best regards,
Wouter
