In Cache DB, the option to exclude a folder from use does not stop program from importing keywords and creating categories. The excluded folder should block them to help with downloaded images from sources using another language than your own.

I've tried, and categories are not created. Could you try with a clean DB file?

With "[ ]Enable thumbnails caching", categories are automatically created even after old DB is erased. With no folders assigned in 'exclude tab'. Putting folders in 'exclude' does prevent category creation.

Sorry but i don't understand. If you add folder in 'exclude', categories will not be created for this folder...
'Enable thumbnails caching' is a setting for thumbnail not keywords...

Thanks for the explanation. No problem then. Indeed, I assumed "[x]import xmp/iptc to db" was thumbnail only.
