XnView Software

Thick bar sometimes appears on the side of XnView when XnView is maximized. This bug has these 2 characteristics...

- Starts and continues to happen after changing display resolution or running a fullscreen program--such as a game or 3D graphics screensaver (such as a fish aquarium screensaver) [may have to restart XnView to see].

- Reapplying Windows 7 visual style or theme can fix and prevent the bug from happening again for the remaining Windows session. But the bug can be triggered again after a reboot and running a fullscreen program.

Can this be fixed?

Yes, some users have this problem, but i can't reproduce...

btw: im on windows 7 x64 and using xnview in browser mode.

i notice this problem occurs immediately after running a fullscreen 3d game. perhaps you can reproduce it?

do you have a full screen program such as a 3d game or 3d screensaver? it always happens after running something such as these. if not, maybe you can try with installing one of these full screen 3d fish screensavers as a quick way to reproduce this bug...

The topic is rather old, but yes it can be fixed.

Select the xnview.exe and choose "Properties". In "compatibility" select the option "Disable display scalling on high DPI settings".

i tried that but doesn't remove the problem

i found a new way to trigger this bug. simply change your display resolution to something else, then back. then restart the program to see...
