Hello.
I am testing xnviewmp on Debian Testing (Squeeze) Linux 64 bit.
What is the recommended xnviewmp version to use?
1. XnViewMP-linux-libc6.tgz
2. XnViewMP-linux.tgz
They 'both' seem to work.
Thank you.

According to,

It's for old OS with old libc.

Does that mean the libc6 is the 'shared' version and libc is the non-shared library.
Either way, both work on a Debian Testing 64 bit Linux system with shared 32bit libraries.
Which version of xnviewmp should I use if I do not use the ia32 shared libraries?
1. XnViewMP-linux-libc6.tgz
2. XnViewMP-linux.tgz
Current libc6 Version:
libc6 : Embedded GNU C Library: Shared libraries , version 2.10.2-6
Thank you.

That is much newer than what old Debian "Etch" uses (glibc 2.3.6), for example.
Here is the info my file manager reports about v.0.26:
Primary:
ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.8, stripped
Alternate, named "libc6":
ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.2.0, stripped

To be clear...
The correct Xnview version for a Debian Linux Testing/Sqeeze 64 bit version is:
XnViewMP-linux.tgz
Because the libc6 is older.
Thank you.
