On Win 7 Home Premium German 64bit, I can't register XnView as application for USB events (press F12, system integration, checking "add XnView as app to USB events" is forgotten instantly). Even when started as administrator. Solution via editing registry documented in
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=5679 Not all users are able the hack the registry and for those that can, it's no fun, so a working option would be helping all

Pierre, I tried, does not work as normal user, even with restart, does work when XnView has been started as admin, no restart required, checkbox is not checked. Again an issue with Win7 where users shall be informed their action will only succeed when they're admin...

Yes, right, XnView must be started with admin rights...

Are you sure it works when using administrator rights ?
It does not on my W7 64.
And the option remains unselected when I come back to the option toolbox...

Doesn't work for me, just tried with Admin privileges and the AutoPlay manager in the Control Panel and nothing.
Also, I'm hoping Pierre will dump the current file associations eetup in XnView and switch across to the newer "Default Programs" system that is present in both Vista and 7. XnView does use it but only for about 9 types... needs .psd, .rw2...
foobar2000 and Media Player Classic use it really well except for supporting Blu-Ray discs?
