What is XnView MP?

Hello.
I don't see any sticky topics that explains what it is...the main page has a link directing to this section of the forum, that's it...

That wikipedia article currently claims it "will eventually replace all other versions of XnView". I did not see this explicitly stated in its sources (or recall reading it at this forum).

yes but I think XnView MP would still eventually grand-replace all previous OS specific xnview's

Oh...XnViewMP reminds me of Bill Clinton's strategy on how to improve education in the country and make students get higher grades: lower the requirements...
To me XnViewMP looks like a castrated version of normal XnView, with a fraction of features. It seems instead of adding features to other platforms to meet XnView, it was decided to cut down the features and make them all the same on all platforms...

Am I wrong? :|
