XnView Software

Pierre,

I like the "quick sort" toolbar of the browser of the M32-win version very much,
however there are some problems with selecting the items on this bar.
If I select "none" of the itmes , then only "name" is available,
but then I can't seem to get other items to be selected,
that is: you can select them by placing a checkmark,
but on the header only "name" keeps being displayed.

EDIT: should have tried that right-away: after restarting XnView it picks up the selected items again.

You means the header sort toolbar in thumbnail view?

yes indeed,
I also noticed that some time (or most of the time ?),
the selection of which items are placed on the bar isn't saved.

Can't reproduce, in detail column width is correctly saved...

No, I tried it just once more,
I can't add items or delete them: that is I CAN add and delete them,
but XnView forgets about it, when i restart XnView.

I use windows-7 - 32bit and use the Xnview.ini - file in the XnView directory

No problem on my 7.
In details or thumbnail view? You add an item, close XnView, and restart it?

It happens in thumbnail-view , not sure whether it also happens in details-view.
If I restart then the modifications in the toolbar are not visible.
Should these settings be visible as text in the xnview.ini file ?

Found it !!! ,

it appeared that my xniew.ini-file had no write-permission.
It somehow happened when i copied this ini-file from another MP32 installation on an other computer.
I should have seen that before.
