Change timestamp bug in sort by "name (numeric)"...

When the browser is in sort by "name (numeric)", change timestamp changes a group of selected files as if it's in sort by "name" only. Therefore, the order of timestamp change is not correctly applied. Can this be fixed?
BTW: I change the modified date.

it is important because when i switch sorting mode to by "modified date", then the thumbnails sorting order isn't consistent with how it was when it was sorted by "name (numeric)" and applied the timestamp changes. i want them to be consistent because i frequently switch between these two modes of viewing thumbnails. i frequently apply the timestamp changes to batches of downloaded images and sort them by "name (numeric)" then apply the timestamp changes, so that their order will be maintained when viewing in "modified date" mode. currently, this works fine when working in sort by "name" but not for when working in sort by "name (numeric)". can this be fixed?

i use...
- current date and time
- file date modified

I've checked again, but all seems correct. 'Change timestamp' take order of file list in thumbnail view...

i frequently come across the problem. try testing with this sample group of images and you will be able to reproduce the problem...

I can't reproduce, i have the same order with 'name (numeric)" & 'date' after change timestamp

did you apply "modified date = current" to all images at once?
i'm always able to reproduce the problem on my system. in case my settings matter, here is my xnview 1.97.8 .ini file. you should be able to reproduce the problem with my setup...

here are screenshots. first is sorted by "name numeric" and second is by "date". this was after a change timestamp applied to all at once and they're supposed to be sorted the same in both screenshots, but notice they're not because of the bug...
