list of image files with resolution

is there a way to use nconvert with a directory of images to create an ascii or uniformat text list for those files in the form <filename> <x-pixels> <y-pixels> 
in case this is not currently possible:
(a) is there another utility that will perform the above task ?
(b) is it possible in xnview ?
