easy delete / sort out / mark pictures while slideshow?

Post by tom*de »

One usecase after holidays is to mark, delete or move some pictures into 2nd class subdirectory, while the first slideshow.
Is it possible to do one of this while slideshow by using a hotkey?

Thanks, Tom

i'm a big fan of XnView and use it for much of my work with images.

i like the way you can use those shortcuts (Alt+M, Alt+C) to easily move or copy images while in browser mode. One thing i've always wanted is to have the same power while in slideshow mode - to move or copy images to a different folder while in slideshow mode. Even if you have to pause first. That would be truly awesome. (As it is, you have to switch from slideshow to browser, find the right folder and then the image, or write down a list for later etc.)

So i think i'd like to second Tom's suggestion (if i've read it right).

Thanks and kind regards, michael

I use recursive slideshows, I sometimes also make custom .sld files for more complex slideshows, and I would really like at least the zoom option, delete, move and copy would be also great.

I miss a delete and rotate function during a slideshow a lot too.

Often I shot several images of a moment and later during a slideshow I see, which image is the best and which one can be deleted. Some shortcuts would be very helpful. Is there a chance to get this feature implemented?

You can tag every selected image as the slideshow goes on. Finally, you alt+c "tagged files" to the folder you want. For tagging, you can press "space" or "insert". I´d pick "insert" up as "space" will you move forward. Hope it helps.

Forgive me but I'm a new Xnview user. Love it BTW. However, I can't seem to figure out how to tag using space in slideshow mode. Space adds a check mark when in broswer mode but doesn't seem to work when in full screen or slideshow. Any help please.

I have also tried editing the keyboard shortcut from "space" to "shift+z" to see if that worked. Same issue. Only tags the file in the browser mode.

Hello,
Have you tried "t" or "Ctrl+t" to tag during full screen mode or View mode ?
