XnViewMP - Version 0.35 beta (unstable) (Jan 13 2011)
Libformat version 5.77
No non-stock Plugins
Xubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) 2.6.32-30-generic SMP i686 GNU/Linux
Xfce 4 Desktop Environment - version 4.6.1 (Xfce 4.6)
Gnome 2.30.02
Hi,
I installed the 1.7 version but it looked like 8 bit graphics and was acting strange. Like the desktop would overlay in the preview window. With the install of the beta release, it actually looks like the windows version I'm familiar with and works "mostly". The biggest reason I installed this was for image management, as I haven't found anything even remotely close on Linux yet, save feh which is over my head to set up all the custom scripts I'd need and then have to remember the keys.
Anyway, I didn't see others here with this problem so I don't know if this is a bug, or a problem on my end.
Copy To & Move To act like they work and actually seem to for a single image at a time, but mutli-selections are haywire. The command goes through and it looks like the images got moved, but not all show up at the destination and you are left with the same multi-selection highlighted but are now selecting the different pictures that have filled in the empty spots.
Dragging to the folder pane doesn't do anything.
The default folder used in either Copy or Move To dialog is left empty on subsequent actions and when you arrow down to select the last used folder, it always selects the 2nd last folder you used instead of the last. It also doesn't select the next image in the list after the operation which requires a right arrow to get the next image in the preview. As I was doing this a single image at a time it gets tedious fast. =\
Alt+M > Down > Up > Enter > Right
Rinse, Repeat
Lastly, it won't set the color (Black) for previews or fullscreen mode. It takes the change, but it never takes even after a restart. I haven't delved to deep into other things yet as I went straight to filing images, but will try to report anything else I notice that I can't find already addressed.
If it's something I'm doing wrong, a heads up would be sweet. If not, I hope this helps with the feedback. (I'm excited to see this nice and stable in Linux!)
I'm still kinda green on Linux so I'm sorry in advance if I've overlooked anything.
Keep up the Great work,
Ako
